Fireworks is the graphics package which works with Dreamweaver. These three days will teach you all you need to know to make exciting graphics for your web pages.
Day One - Drawing and Text Effects
A first introduction to the drawing and text tools used in Fireworks. Create basic shapes - lines rectangles ellipses, polygons and stars. Draw freeform or plot points. Bend and reshape objects, apply lines and fills. Combining and cropping objects. Create exciting text effects – using different fills, strokes and effects. Curve your text around a logo/image – and many more techniques.
Aimed at: Complete beginners to drawing packages and Fireworks. No artistic ability required - all learning carried out with simple shapes. Must be familiar with windows packages and skillful with a mouse.

DAY TWO - Using Fireworks to Prepare Photographs for the Web
If you want to use images on your web site, regardless of how the pictures were created (scanned or digital camera), the images will need to be worked on to make sure that your website is still quick to download. This day covers saving your images in the correct format. Resizing your images and optimizing your images for the web. Apply masks to the photographs for more stunning effect. Use Fireworks with Dreamweaver to create an automatic web album.

DAY THREE - Using Fireworks to Create Animations and Simple Rollover Buttons
Use Fireworks to create quick and easy animations. Start with animating pre-prepared images - useful for creating banner ads etc. Finish by creating your own shapes, converting them to symbols and animating them. You can set the degree and direction of movement, scaling, opacity (fading in or out), and angle and direction of rotation. Create simple rollover buttons for web navigation. · Understand how animations work · Create simple animation with pre-prepared images · Animate simple shapes and text by tweening · Edit animations by changing degree and direction of movement, scaling, opacity, angle and direction of rotation. · Work with frames and timings · Export animation for use on the web · Create simple rollover buttons
